Sales tax mixed into revenue
Sales tax collected for the state is not your revenue. Treelocity calculates job margin strictly against the pre-tax agreed total.
A tree job’s profit is not what is left in the checking account at month end—it is the agreed pre-tax price minus the exact crew clock hours, equipment operating time and materials consumed on that job.
Automated job costing is built into Crew ($199/month) and Established ($349/month).

Pick a preset tree job or enter your own numbers to see how crew hours, equipment rates and materials roll up into pre-tax margin.

Why spreadsheets drift
Sales tax collected for the state is not your revenue. Treelocity calculates job margin strictly against the pre-tax agreed total.
When you update an employee’s hourly cost rate in Treelocity, past timesheets keep their original hourly cost rate so last quarter’s reports never shift.
If a new hire clocks into a visit before an hourly rate is entered on their profile, Treelocity surfaces an explicit missing-cost warning and lets you fill it in cleanly.
