Policy terms

Data collection, use and rights

1. Roles: Controller and Processor

When you use Treelocity to manage your tree-care business, you are the data controller of your customer, property, tree and employee records, and Treelocity acts as your data processor. For account registration, billing and site operations, Treelocity acts as the data controller.

2. Information we process

We process account holder contact details, company profile settings, employee roster and timesheet records, customer contact and property address data, tree inventory records and photos, communication threads, and payment transaction metadata.

3. Field location data (Live GPS)

On the Established plan, when Live GPS is enabled, crew location is collected only after the employee acknowledges an explicit in-app notice and only while the employee is actively clocked into a visit (never while on break or clocked out).

4. How we use information

We use your data strictly to provide, secure and support the Treelocity service—such as geocoding property addresses, delivering estimates and invoices you send, syncing with your authorized QuickBooks Online account, and calculating job costs.

5. No sale of personal information

Treelocity never sells customer lists, property records, homeowner phone numbers or employee information to third parties or advertisers.

6. Data retention, export and deletion

You can export your records at any time. Upon account closure or written request to support@treelocity.com, we delete your company workspace data in accordance with our backup retention schedule, except where retention is required by tax or payment law.
